Darren Kramer

Darren Kramer serves as an Instructor of Music (Jazz Trombone) at Colorado State University, where he leverages 40 years of professional experience as a trombonist, composer, and educator. He has performed globally with major artists including Matchbox Twenty, Garth Brooks, Marc Anthony, and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.

His academic background includes graduation from the University of Miami.

Kramer's creative work focuses on Jazz Trombone performance, Composition, and Music Technology integration, where he pioneers the fusion of acoustic instruments with electronic production. As an Ableton Certified Trainer and XO Brass Artist, he disseminates knowledge through his 2023 TEDx Talk, online course "Trombonology", and "Sonic Tonic Experience" podcast exploring music-wellness connections.

He directs the ultramodern ensemble ElektroHornz, which experiments with live electronic-acoustic synthesis, and maintains active industry partnerships through his website elektrohornz.com.
