Darren Crocker is a Programme Leader for the BSc Sport, Rehabilitation & Conditioning programme at Plymouth Marjon University's School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation. With 17 years of higher education experience, he focuses on student-centered teaching, industry-driven curriculum design, and applied practice in sports therapy and injury rehabilitation. He holds a MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine from the University of South Wales, alongside qualifications in Sports Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy from Teesside and Plymouth Universities.

His research emphasizes non-pharmacological management of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), combining interdisciplinary approaches with clinical rehabilitation techniques. His recent publications include contributions to the BASRaT Educational Framework (2024) and case studies on POTS management (2020-2021).
He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and maintains professional memberships with the British Association of Sports & Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and Sports Therapy Organisation (STO).
