Darla Linville serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Research. Counseling & Curriculum at Augusta University's College of Education and Human Development, with a secondary appointment in The Graduate School. Her interdisciplinary work bridges educational leadership, social justice, and qualitative methodologies.

Her research centers on educational equity through oral history narratives, examining desegregation legacies, LGBTQ+ youth experiences, and urban school contexts. She pioneers methods for integrating queer perspectives into curriculum via book clubs and develops transformative frameworks for understanding race, pain, and healing in educational settings. Recent work emphasizes embodied allyship for trans youth and decolonizing historical documentation.

Her grant work includes the IPPH Mentoring Program focused on public health education.
She co-directs the Qualitative Research Lab and contributes to the Literacy Center Research Group, fostering collaborative inquiry into narrative methodologies and inclusive pedagogies.
