Professor Dariusz Galasiński is affiliated with the University of Wrocław. His research focuses on discourse analysis at the intersection of linguistics and psychology, particularly examining how individuals construct experiences of mental illness, masculinity, and suicide through language. He emphasizes qualitative, bottom-up approaches to analyze narratives of suffering, with a focus on men’s experiences. He collaborates with Justyna Ziółkowska on projects like Discursive Constructions of the Suicidal Process and co-edits Bloomsbury Handbook on Language of Death and Dying.

Current projects examine discursive constructions of suicide attempters. He has been involved in the Integrated Development Program of the University of Wrocław 2018-2022, funded by the European Social Fund.
