Dariusz Komorowski serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Culture of German-speaking Countries and Silesia within the Institute of Germanic Philology at the University of Wrocław. He concurrently holds leadership roles as Head of the German-Language Literature Workshop in Switzerland and Director of the postgraduate program "Cultural Manager in Regional Cooperation" since 2012. He maintains active memberships in the Polish-German Society of the University of Wrocław (since 2003) and the Swiss Society for the Study of German-Language Literature in Switzerland (since 2005).
His academic foundation includes German studies with Dutch specialization at the University of Wrocław, culminating in his 2000 doctoral thesis "Bewegungsästhetik in den Romanen von Jürg Laederach" (Aesthetic of Movement in Jürg Laederach's Novels). Professional progression shows appointment as assistant professor in 2001 under Prof. Marek Hałub, followed by leadership of the German-language Literature of Switzerland Department since 2005.
Research centers on German literary traditions with concentrated expertise in Swiss German-language literature, evidenced by his departmental leadership and society membership. His scholarly profile integrates Cultural Studies methodologies with Literary Theory, particularly examining movement aesthetics in narrative structures. Current academic engagement includes organizing the October 2025 international conference "Henryk Bereska – a Man in Dazwischen" and co-hosting "MAGNUM IN PARVO.
