معرفی
Darin Dolezal, MD, PhD is an Instructor in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine, with dual fellowship training in cytopathology and molecular genetic pathology. His current research focuses on lung carcinoma metastasis mechanisms, particularly how lung cancer spreads to the central nervous system, conducted in Dr. Don Nguyen’s laboratory. He holds a postdoctoral position supported by an intradepartmental Chair’s Challenge grant.
Education: MD and PhD from Upstate Medical University (2017) and BS from Cornell University (2006). Professional training includes roles as Chief Resident (2021) and Resident (2020-2023) in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Research Interests: Molecular profiling of metastatic cancers, liquid biopsy applications in pleural effusions, and WHO standards for lung cytopathology reporting. His work bridges diagnostic pathology with translational research to improve clinical decision-making.
Collaborations: Active partnerships include Guoping Cai, Don Nguyen, Anna Arnal Estape, and Declan McGuone. Key projects investigate driver mutations in pleural fluid-derived ctDNA using error-suppressed sequencing platforms.
Labs/Teams: Nguyen Lab (metastasis research), Janeway Society (physician-scientist development). Future work emphasizes metastatic resistance mechanisms and clinical applications of molecular pathology.
