معرفی
Lok Hei Chan is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on cancer biology, molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, and drug resistance, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma and lung cancer. He investigates epigenetic regulators like PRMT6 and their roles in cancer stemness, signaling pathways, and metabolic reprogramming. His work also explores targeted therapies and mechanisms of drug resistance, such as osimertinib tolerance in EGFR-mutant lung cancer.
Chan is affiliated with the Yan Lab, contributing to interdisciplinary studies on cancer pathogenesis and therapeutic strategies. His research spans topics including the Warburg effect, RAS/RAF signaling, and the interplay between epigenetic modifications and cancer progression. Collaborators include Andrew Xiao, Anna Arnal Estape, and Don Nguyen, among others.
His publications highlight advancements in understanding PRMT6’s tumor suppressive roles, ERK signaling dysregulation in metastasis, and the functional characterization of proteins like TP53INP1 and DUSP10 in cancer progression. These studies aim to identify novel therapeutic targets and improve treatment strategies for aggressive cancers.
