Danny Rhodes is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Kent within the Arts, Humanities, Media and Creative Digital school, serving as Course Director for the BA (Hons) Creative & Professional Writing program and teaching across multiple academic levels.
His research and teaching expertise spans Creative Writing with specialized focus on Professional Writing, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, Drama, and genre-specific forms including Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. He actively develops curriculum through the 'Writing Comes Alive' programme, emphasizing practical application and genre exploration in writing pedagogy.
Rhodes leads foundational instruction in 'The Write Stuff' module, core Level 4 studies in 'Contextual Studies' and 'Poetry, Drama, Fiction 1', advanced Level 5/6 coursework in 'The Novel' and 'Professional Practice 2', while also contributing to the MA Creative Writing program with specialized genre instruction in 'Science-Fiction, Fantasy and Horror'.
