معرفی
Dannielle Green is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Anglia Ruskin University (Faculty of Science and Engineering, School of Life Sciences). She specializes in marine ecology and environmental stressors, particularly the biological and ecological impacts of human activities on marine habitats.
- Education: PhD in Marine Ecology (University College Dublin), BSc (Hons) in Marine Science (University of Sydney)
- Research Focus: Pollution (microplastics, cigarette butts), Climate Change, Invasive Species, Biogeochemistry of Marine Sediments, and Interdisciplinary Environmental Solutions
Her interdisciplinary approach combines ecology with biogeochemistry, ecophysiology, and molecular biology to address complex environmental challenges. Recent work includes collaborations with the Environmental Science Association of Ireland, British Ecological Society, and Marine Biological Association.
Research Grants:
- Hydrophis Gas (£340,000) as Co-PI for carbon capture device research (2019-2022)
- South Atlantic Environmental Research Institute (2015)
- Irish Research Council Fellowship (2013)
- British Ecological Society Grant (2013)
Scientific Outreach: Active media engagement with appearances on BBC Radio, RTE, Falkland Islands Television, and contributions to The Guardian, The Irish Times, and Chemical & Engineering News.
