He holds a PhD from Bournemouth University (2003) and a BSc in Biology from the University of Portsmouth (1992).
Research Interests: Pollution's environmental effects, soil biology and chemistry (including forensic applications), invertebrate studies, and ecosystem services. Current projects include soil protection and heathland restoration. Supervising five PhD students, he welcomes inquiries in his research areas.
Recent Work: Key publications address microplastic impacts on freshwater ecosystems, soil enzyme pH optimization, and trace metal dynamics in food chains. Collaborates with the Environment & Threats Strategic Research Group and interdisciplinary teams.
