Danielle Vogel is a Professorial Lecturer in the Department of Management at the Kogod School of Business, American University, and serves as Assistant Director of the Veloric Center for Entrepreneurship. She holds a BA from Tufts University and a JD from the Washington College of Law, where she also teaches. Her academic focus bridges entrepreneurship and sustainability, with courses like 'Sustainable Entrepreneurship' and 'Sustainable Food Systems.'
Her professional background includes founding Glen’s Garden Market, a climate-conscious grocery store, and AccelerateHERdc, a pitch competition supporting women-led sustainable businesses. Prior to academia, she worked on climate legislation in Congress and as a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environmental Enforcement Section.
At Kogod, she oversees the AU Business Incubator and promotes sustainability through entrepreneurship education. Her work emphasizes social purpose innovation, environmental mindfulness, and equitable economic development.
