Dr. Danielle Tucker is a Reader in Management at the University of Essex's Essex Business School, Department of Organisation Studies and Human Resource Management. She holds a PhD in Management from the University of Kent and serves as EBS Director of Impact and Enterprise since July 2022. Her academic credentials include a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education and a BA in Industrial Relations, HRM, and Social Psychology.
Research Focus: Her multidisciplinary research evaluates complex change initiatives in public sectors (Police, NHS, Local Government). Core interests include:
- Change communication interpretation during organizational transitions
- Role of change agents and middle managers in facilitating change
- Cross-boundary information flow in integrated care systems
- Policy implementation challenges and organizational failure mechanisms
Teaching & Supervision: Leads modules including BE475 (HRM Principles), BE482 (Managing Organisational Change), and BE909 (Professional Development). Currently supervising three PhD candidates in Management/HRM studies and has graduated three doctoral students since 2018.
