Danielle King

Danielle King is an Associate Professor of Psychological Sciences and Associate Dean for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Rice University. She leads the WorKing Resilience Research Laboratory and focuses on employee resilience, workplace well-being, and racial identity dynamics. Her work is supported by prestigious grants like the NSF CAREER Award (2023).

Dr. King holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University (2018), an M.A. (2015) from the same institution, and a B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College (2012). She has received notable awards, including the APA Achievement Award (2022) and the APS Rising Star designation (2023).

Her research integrates resilience theory with organizational practices, emphasizing systemic racism’s impact on Black employees and policy-driven solutions.
