Danielle Copes is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Memphis School of Law, appointed in 2024 with expertise spanning business law, corporate transactions, civil litigation, and international legal practice. Her academic journey bridges rigorous scholarship with extensive real-world legal experience across multiple jurisdictions.
Her educational background includes:
- LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from St. Mary's University School of Law (graduated top of class)
- J.D., magna cum laude, from St. Mary's University School of Law (recipient of leadership and academic excellence awards, national Order of Barristers honors)
- B.A. from Pepperdine University
Professor Copes' research examines the intersection of public policy and private contracting rights, contract-based risk mitigation strategies, and equity issues in business, education, and employment. Her scholarly focus extends to legal communication pedagogy, advocacy techniques, and administrative law frameworks, reflecting her dual expertise in transactional practice and legal education innovation.
