Dr. Daniel Wisneski is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Saint Peter’s University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Illinois Chicago and a B.S. from The Ohio State University. His research focuses on moral psychology, examining how moral beliefs evolve and influence behavior, particularly in political and social contexts. He teaches courses such as Moral Psychology and Political Psychology, emphasizing research integration in education.
His work explores themes like moral conviction, political ideology, and the impact of emotions on moral judgments. Notable research includes studies on moral punishment, attitude moralization, and the psychological effects of events like 9/11. Dr. Wisneski advises the Psychology Club and has published extensively in journals like Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin and Science.
