Brittany Hanson

Dr. Brittany Hanson is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Saint Peter’s University since 2018. She specializes in moral and political psychology, focusing on how moral convictions influence attitudes and behaviors in social and political contexts. Her research emphasizes methodological rigor and reproducibility in psychological science.

Dr. Hanson holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Arizona, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Social and Personality Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her academic journey includes seven years in Chicago dedicated to graduate studies and research.

Her research interests span moral psychology, political psychology, and attitudes/persuasion mechanisms.
