Daniel Schofield is a Professor in Media Education and Deputy Head of Education at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He is affiliated with the Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences and the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning.
His research explores media literacy, digital Bildung, reflexivity, and media ethics, with projects like ELEMENT and Mediagraphy focusing on media practices in education. He leads the Media Literacy and Education Research Group (MEDLiE).
Schofield's recent work examines how digital tools reshape learning, including systematic reviews of literacy measurements and multimodal approaches in higher education. He contributes to policy discussions on children's digital engagement.
