Daniel Rogerson is a Lecturer in the Psychology Department at Northumbria University. His research focuses on gender and sexuality in sports, particularly transgender inclusion policies and barriers to physical activity for trans/non-binary individuals. He has also contributed to studies on refugee youth volunteering in Uganda and the dynamics of misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Research interests include minority stress, diversity in sports, and the intersection of digital platforms with health misinformation. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and health.
Collaborative projects include analyzing volunteering trends in displaced youth and examining social corrections to misinformation on WhatsApp in Brazil and the UK. He has co-authored peer-reviewed articles in journals like Journal of Sports Sciences and Telematics and Informatics.
