Daniel Reynolds is an Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Film and Media at Emory University. His research examines media, embodiment, and the mind, with particular focus on how films and video games depict psychology and stimulate psychological responses. He teaches courses in media theory, video games, media technology, authorship, and the psychology of media use.
Dr. Reynolds is the author of 'Media in Mind' (Oxford University Press, 2019) and has published in Film Quarterly, Journal of Cinema and Media Studies, and Game Studies. He is currently working on a book about film technology and cinematic authorship. As a faculty affiliate of Emory's Center for Mind, Brain, and Culture, his work bridges media studies with cognitive science.
