Daniel Nehring

Dr. Daniel Nehring is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Swansea University's School of Social Sciences, specializing in Criminology and Social Policy. With academic experience across ten countries, he previously held an Associate Professor position at East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai.

Publications: 15 most recent articles explore self-optimization in the Global South, affective capitalism in academia, migration policy commercialization, and therapeutic culture dynamics. Books include Therapeutic Worlds (2019) and Handbook of Global Therapeutic Cultures (2020).
