Dr. Daniel M. Herskowitz is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Theology and Religion. His research focuses on modern Jewish thought, existentialism, political theology, and the intellectual history of 20th century Europe. He has held positions at Wolfson College and Columbia University's Religion Department. His major work Heidegger and His Jewish Reception (2021) won the Salo W. and Jeannette M. Baron Award. His research bridges Jewish intellectual traditions with continental philosophy, particularly engaging Heidegger, Barth, and Rosenzweig.
