Daniel Greene is an Adjunct Professor of History at Northwestern University and a Subject Matter Expert at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago (2004). His research focuses on American and European history, particularly Holocaust memory, public history, and modern Jewish history. Greene curated the 2018 exhibition Americans and the Holocaust, which inspired the 2022 PBS documentary The U.S. and the Holocaust. He served as President and Librarian at the Newberry Library in Chicago (2019–2023).
