Dr. Daniel Cardona Coll is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Balearic Islands. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1997) and currently teaches Microeconomics in the Economics and Business Administration degrees at UIB.
Dr. Cardona Coll's research focuses on the analysis of strategic interaction in collective decision-making processes. His work spans Game Theory, Social Choice Theory, and Public Choice Economics, examining how individuals make strategic decisions in group settings. His research has significant implications for understanding voting systems, political economy, and institutional design.
Dr. Cardona Coll has published his research in prestigious journals including the Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, Economic Theory, Social Choice and Welfare, Oxford Economic Papers, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Public Choice.
Dr. Cardona Coll supervises Final Degree Projects in Economics and oversees practical work/internships for students in Economics and Business Administration programs. His teaching portfolio includes Information Economics, Microeconomics, and various practical courses across multiple degree programs at UIB.
Dr. Cardona Coll serves as Principal Investigator for the "Conflicto e Interacción Estratégica (CIE)" research group, a consolidated R&D&I structure at UIB focused on strategic interaction and conflict analysis.
