Dr. Daniel Brennan is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Society & Design at Bond University, affiliated with the Transformation Colab (DPE). His research focuses on political and social philosophy, particularly exploring resistance theories, phenomenology, and the philosophy of sport. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Bond University (2013), examining the political thought of Václav Havel. Brennan has authored works including The Political Thought of Vaclav Havel and is currently completing a book on surfing and the philosophy of sport.
His research interests include non-traditional forms of resistance (e.g., friendship, kindness), the ethics of technology (e.g., Generative AI critiques), and the intersection of sport and philosophy.
