Dr Daniel Blinkhorn is a Senior Lecturer and composer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney), specializing in electroacoustic and biomimetic sound composition. His work explores intersections between natural environments, technology, and acoustic innovation. He holds a PhD in composition from the University of Wollongong and has completed leadership training through the University of Sydney Business School.
Research focuses on biomimetic frameworks, environmental soundscapes, and interdisciplinary media. Notable works include the award-winning frostbYte series and collaborations with institutions like the Sydney Nano Institute. He coordinates units in electroacoustic music, sound recording, and digital composition.
