Alexis Weaver is an Associate Lecturer in Music Technology at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney, and a PhD candidate in the School of Chemistry. Her research bridges music composition, sound design, and science communication. She is a prominent electroacoustic composer whose works have been broadcast globally and featured on major platforms. Weaver holds a Master of Music (2018) and an Honours degree (2018) from the Sydney Conservatorium, focusing on 'small diffusion' and non-ideal listening environments. In 2023, she collaborated with design studio Kopi Su to develop generative AI tools for artists, leading to performances at the Sydney Opera House and South by Southwest Sydney. Her work explores interdisciplinary intersections between music, technology, and science, with a focus on gender representation in electroacoustic fields.
