Daniel Bennett is the Director of Jazz Studies at the School of Music of Cairn University, where he has been teaching since 2021. He is a renowned saxophonist and woodwind performer based in New York City, known for his hybrid musical compositions blending jazz, folk, and minimalism. His work has been spotlighted by NPR, The Boston Globe, and The New York Times.

Teaching & Campus Involvement

Daniel Bennett Group performs at iconic venues including the Blue Note (NYC), Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club (London), and Herb Alpert’s Vibrato (LA). He has played woodwinds in Blank! The Musical and performed with the Portland Symphony and New Hampshire Festival Orchestra. He recently guest-soloed with the Roberts Wesleyan University Orchestra in John Williams' 'Escapades.'
