Andrea Pejrolo is a Professor and former Chair of the Contemporary Writing and Production department at Berklee College of Music. He holds a PhD in Jazz Studies from New York University, a Master’s in Composition for Film, TV, Theater, and Multimedia from the University of Bristol (UK), and a Music Diploma in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

His research focuses on music technology and jazz analysis. Key projects include collaborations with Scanzonati (Italy), Kukaio Film Production (Germany), and iZotope (developer of iDrum Rock Edition). He has worked with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and contributed to the Broadway show Swing. His publications include Creating Sounds from Scratch (Oxford University Press) and Acoustic and MIDI Orchestration for the Contemporary Composer (Focal Press).
