Dr. Daniel Acquah is a Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Liverpool’s School of Law and Social Justice, part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He concurrently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Turku, Finland. His academic journey includes postdoctoral fellowships at the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies and senior research roles at the Brussels School of Governance.
Acquah holds a Doctor of Laws (LLD) and advanced degrees in Criminology, Law, and Intellectual Property. His research focuses on European/international IP law, development issues linked to IP, Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL), and global justice challenges like access to medicines. Key projects include Academy of Finland-funded research on technical assistance’s role in constitutionalizing IP norms in Africa.
