Danforn Lim

Prof Danforn Lim is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Western Sydney University, holding roles as a Specialist Medical Practitioner, Chinese Medicine Practitioner, and media personality. He chairs key regulatory bodies including the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and the FoNCs & NSWCPsF Regulatory Insights Joint Working Group. Prof Lim earned an MBBS and PhD in Reproductive Medicine from UNSW, alongside six doctoral degrees and 19 total qualifications across disciplines.

His research focuses on clinical studies in Chinese Medicine, reproductive health, and pharmacology, with contributions to journals and editorial roles at over 35 publications. He has reviewed grants for NHMRC and UK NIHR, and served on RACGP committees. Awards include recognition for leadership in healthcare safety and cultural integration.

Prof Lim advises UTS Chinese Medicine programs and chairs NICM Health Research Institute’s board. His service spans roles in Ahpra, NSW Health Authorities, and multicultural health initiatives, emphasizing regulatory excellence and professional development.
