Rupert Leong is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney and Macquarie University, and Director of Endoscopy at Concord Hospital. He specializes in gastroenterology, particularly inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colorectal cancer surveillance, and endoscopy. His roles include leading the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Services at Concord Hospital and serving as a founding director of IBD Sydney. He holds academic titles including FRACP and AGAF, and has contributed to national and international consensus guidelines on IBD and colorectal cancer prevention.
Leong's research focuses on gastroenterology, immunology, and biomarkers, with over 200 peer-reviewed publications.
