Dana Mitchell serves as Deputy Attorney General in the Minnesota Attorney General's Office and holds an adjunct faculty role at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. She oversees legal support for State agencies and previously managed the Public Safety Division. Her career includes roles as assistant county attorney, public defender, mediator, and staff attorney in landmark cases like the $1.25B Black farmers settlement. She earned a J.D./M.S.W. from the University of Minnesota and completed a Bush Fellowship.
