Dr. Dana L. Mitra is a Professor of Education Policy Studies at Pennsylvania State University, where she has conducted research on student voice and leadership for 15 years. She serves as founding editor of the International Journal of Student Voice and Co-Editor of the American Journal of Education, with additional roles as leadership coach and workshop facilitator.

- BA in Educational Studies/Public Policy and American Institutions from Brown University
Her research focuses on student voice, youth development, and civic engagement in education. Recent publications examine pedagogical foundations of student voice, ethical dimensions of participatory research, and democratic education across diverse contexts.
