Dan Honig is an Associate Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and the School of Public Policy at University College London. His research examines the relationship between management practice, organizational structure, and performance in public service delivery. He currently leads the UKRI-funded 'Relational State Capacity' project exploring citizen-state relationships.
Education includes:

Research focuses on cultivating mission-driven public servants and understanding how autonomy, competence, and purpose connection improve organizational outcomes. His book 'Mission Driven Bureaucrats' argues for empowerment-based management approaches in government.

Leads Georgetown's Better Government Lab and advises governments internationally through research partnerships. Previously served as advisor to Liberian Ministers of Finance and founded a nonprofit in East Timor.
