Dan Cable is a Professor of Organisational Behaviour at the London Business School (LBS). He holds a PhD from Cornell University and has held academic positions at LBS since 2010 and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1997–2010). His research focuses on organizational culture, employee engagement, and positive emotions in the workplace. He has authored three books, including Alive at Work (2018) and Exceptional (2020), and over 50 peer-reviewed articles in top journals like the Academy of Management Journal and Administrative Science Quarterly.
His work emphasizes activating employees' potential through authentic self-expression and organizational practices that foster psychological safety. Notable awards include being shortlisted for the Thinkers50 Talent Award and twice honored with the Academy of Management's 'Best Article' award.
