معرفی
Damien Saurel is a Lecturer at the University of Rouen and a senior researcher at CIC energiGUNE, specializing in electrochemical energy storage, particularly sodium-ion (Na-ion) and lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. He leads the Physical Properties Measurement and XRD platforms at CIC energiGUNE, focusing on advanced material characterization techniques like X-ray diffraction (XRD) and small-angle scattering (SAXS). His research spans Na-ion battery cathodes, carbon materials for energy storage, and novel electrolyte systems.
Education: PhD in Physics from the University of Caen (2005), postdoctoral work at the Institute of Nanosciences of Aragon and University of Leuven. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and holds patents on solid polymer electrolytes and carbon-based anodes. Key contributions include elucidating NaFePO4 cathode kinetics, optimizing disordered carbon anodes, and developing in-situ XRD electrochemical cells.
Conferences: Active presenter at LIBD, Power our Future, and International Conferences on Sodium Batteries. His work bridges fundamental materials science with industrial applications, emphasizing sustainable energy solutions.
