Dale Sebastian

Dale Sebastian, MBBS, MD, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. He specializes in the management of chronic mental illnesses in long-term inpatient settings, focusing on psychotic and mood disorders complicated by institutionalization, stigma, and socioeconomic disparities. He holds roles as Associate Program Director of Yale Public Psychiatry Fellowship and Pre-clerkship Director in Psychiatry. His work emphasizes strength-based, person-centered care and bridges systemic challenges in mental health delivery.

• Education: MBBS from St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences (2008), Psychiatry residency and public psychiatry fellowship at Yale (2014–2015).
