Erica Ahlert, M.D. serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. She is affiliated with Green College and sits on the Advisory Committee for the Student Mental Health and Wellness Program. Her clinical practice focuses on identity formation, developmental psychology, and mental health challenges in academic settings.
Education: BS in Speech Communication from Northwestern University (1995), MD from Medical University of South Carolina (2003), Psychiatry residency at Yale (2006), and fellowships in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and College Mental Health.
Research interests include mentoring medical students, integrating the biopsychosocial model into clinical practice, and psychotherapy's role in patient care. She teaches in the Psychiatry clerkship and Public Psychiatry Fellowship programs.
