DİLARA TINAS serves as an Assistant Professor at Gaziantep University's Faculty of Theology, Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences in Turkey. She has been actively teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels since 2011, with a particular focus on religious education, Islamic education history, and specialized teaching methods. Her academic career includes previous work at Osh State University's Faculty of Theology in Kyrgyzstan from 2007 to 2011.

Dr. Tinas specializes in religious education with a regional focus on Central Asia, particularly examining religion-state relations in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other Turkic states. Her research explores how religious education functions within secular systems, the legal frameworks governing religious instruction, and the comparative analysis of religious education across different cultural contexts. She has developed expertise in religious oratory, environmental ethics from religious perspectives, and the historical development of Islamic education.
Her publication record shows a clear trajectory of research focusing on Central Asian religious education systems, with increasing attention to contemporary issues like social media's impact on religious identity formation among youth. She has published extensively on religion-state relations in Turkic states, religious education methodology, and the challenges of implementing religious instruction in diverse educational contexts.
Dr. Tinas has supervised 15 master's theses covering diverse topics from digital materials in religious education to emotional intelligence development through religious instruction. She has led three significant research projects, including one on religion-state relations and religious education across Turkic states (2016-2019) and another on cultural integration of Afghan and Kyrgyz Uzbek communities in Gaziantep. As Head of Department since 2011 and editor of the Faculty of Divinity's official journal since 2016, she plays an active administrative role in her institution.
