Zamira Ahmedova serves as Assistant Professor at Gaziantep University's Faculty of Theology, Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences since 2015, following her tenure at Os State University in Kyrgyzstan (2012-2015) where she held Doctor Lecturer position.
Her academic credentials include:
- Doctorate in Islamic History and Arts, Ankara University (2006-2011)
- Master's in Islamic History and Arts with Thesis, Ankara University (2004-2006)
- Licence from Os State University, Kyrgyzstan (1999-2004)
Specializing in Islamic historical and artistic traditions, her research examines gender dynamics in Islamic contexts, mystical traditions, and civilizational development. She investigates how religious ethics manifest through historical artifacts and contemporary practices, with particular focus on women's roles and Sufi interpretations within Turkish and Central Asian contexts.
