Cyrille Sardais is a Professor and Director of the Department of Management at HEC Montréal. He is a member of the Pierre Péladeau Center — Leadership and Management. His expertise spans Leadership, Business History, Decision processes, and Management. He holds a DEA in History and Civilization from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales and a PhD in Management Sciences from HEC Paris.
His research focuses on leadership dynamics in artistic and hierarchical contexts, organizational behavior, and the application of pop culture narratives to management education. Recent studies include leadership in haute cuisine, fraud tolerance in groups, and leadership analysis through Game of Thrones.
Sardais teaches courses such as Leaders and Leadership, Strategic Management of Organizations, and Leadership and Case Analysis. He has supervised two PhD dissertations and one MSc project, exploring topics from ethical dilemmas in leadership to Indigenous governance challenges.
His work bridges academic theory with practical leadership practices, emphasizing creativity and organizational resilience. He actively contributes to peer-reviewed case studies in governance and management innovation.
