Cynthia Consentino is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Art at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she teaches ceramics and 3D studies. With over two decades of professional experience, she has established herself as a significant figure in contemporary ceramic art, known for her intricate tile installations and sculptural works.
Her educational background includes:

Consentino's artistic practice centers on ceramic sculpture, tile work, and figurative art, with a particular focus on human forms and environmental themes. Her work often explores the intersection of traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary conceptual frameworks, resulting in visually compelling installations that engage viewers on multiple levels. She is especially recognized for her large-scale projects, including the John M. Kohler Art Center commission featuring over 2000 hand-painted tiles.
