Curtis Bartone is a Professor of Printmaking at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Savannah, GA, since 2017. He holds an M.F.A. in Art Theory from Northwestern University and a B.F.A. in Art from Columbus College of Art. His expertise spans printmaking, lithography, and environmental art, with a focus on themes like humanity's impact on nature.
His research and teaching include polymer plate intaglio, photopolymer techniques, and drawing workshops. Notable achievements include the EC Lyons award (2017), Second Prize in the LAPS Print Exhibition (2013), and residencies at Kolin Ryynänen (Finland, 2019), Officina Stamperia (Italy, 2018), and PLAYA (Oregon, 2017).
Bartone has exhibited in over 30 venues, including solo shows at the University of Alabama and Wentworth Institute of Technology. His work is in collections like OT301 Multimedia Cultural Center (Amsterdam) and Telfair Museum of Art (Savannah). He actively contributes to organizations like the Southern Graphics Council and College Art Association.
