Dr. Dale's research focuses on two primary domains: the development of cultural heritage enterprises through innovation (encompassing religious sites, historic attractions, and music halls) and the pedagogic application of learning technologies. His work explores technology integration in educational contexts, particularly podcasting and mobile learning, alongside tourism industry innovation and risk management.
His 15 most recent publications (2007-2014) demonstrate strong thematic clusters in educational technology applications (particularly podcasting in diverse disciplines), tourism innovation/management, and event venue studies. The research consistently bridges theoretical frameworks with practical industry and classroom applications.
Dr. Dale maintains professional recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
