Dr. Craig Paterson is a Lecturer and Associate Head at the Sheffield Institute of Law and Justice within the College of Social Sciences and Arts at Sheffield Hallam University. With over twenty years of experience in criminology, he specializes in institutional partnerships with international agencies and has developed postgraduate programs in Applied Human Rights, Criminology, and International Justice.
His research focuses on criminal justice technologies, police reform, and organized criminality, with emphasis on victim-oriented approaches and transnational crime dynamics. Key areas include procedural justice frameworks, electronic monitoring systems, and multi-agency responses to human trafficking.
Publications from 2019-2024 demonstrate consistent focus on policing reform, victim welfare, and transnational criminal justice, with emerging themes in technology-mediated justice systems and therapeutic approaches to law enforcement.
