Craig Albers is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the School Psychology Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He serves as Editor of the Journal of School Psychology, Co-Director of the Rural Education Research and Implementation Center (RERIC), and Chair of UW’s Prevention and Intervention Sciences Minor and Certificate Program. He teaches courses on prevention sciences and earned his PhD in School Psychology/Educational Psychology from Arizona State University (2002). His research focuses on universal screening, early intervention for linguistically diverse students, and rural school challenges in mental health, equity, and educator preparation. He authored the Alternate ACCESS for ELLs, used in 34 states, and co-authored Promoting Academic Success with English Language Learners (Guilford, 2015). Awards include the Teaching Academy Fellowship and multiple scholarly recognitions. Dr. Albers’ work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing culturally responsive interventions and community engagement.
