Cornelia Woll is the President and Professor of International Political Economy at the Hertie School in Berlin. She joined the institution in 2022 from Sciences Po in Paris, where she held multiple roles since 2006, including President of the Academic Board and Co-Director of the Max Planck Sciences Po Center. She also holds visiting professorships at Goethe University Frankfurt and Harvard University.

Her research focuses on the intersection of business and politics, particularly regulatory frameworks in the European Union and United States. Key areas include economic patriotism, trade policy, Europeanization, and corporate influence in financial regulation.
Recent publications include Corporate Crime and Punishment: Negotiated Justice in Global Markets (Princeton, 2023) and analyses of EU budget negotiations, green transition challenges, and corporate tax justice. Her work spans corporate prosecutions, financial deregulation, and strategic lobbying dynamics.
Woll earned her habilitation from the University of Bremen (2013), a bi-national PhD from Sciences Po and the University of Cologne (2005), and a BA/MA in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Chicago.
