Prof. Cornelia Halin Winter is a Full Professor of Pharmaceutical Immunology at ETH Zurich's Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her research focuses on the mechanisms of leukocyte migration through lymphatic vessels and identifying therapeutic targets for vascular disorders. She holds a diploma in biochemistry from ETH Zurich (1998), a PhD in antibody engineering (2002), and conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School (2002–2005) and ETH Zurich (2005–2008). She advanced from Assistant to Associate, then Full Professor at ETH Zurich since 2022.
- Affiliations: ETH Zurich, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Education: Diploma in Biochemistry (ETH Zurich, 1998), PhD in Targeted Tumor Therapy (ETH Zurich, 2002)
Research Interests: Her work bridges immunology and vascular biology, emphasizing lymphatic vessel biology and translational therapies. Her team explores how immune cells navigate lymphatic systems to develop treatments for vascular-related diseases.
Teaching: Leads courses such as Pharmaceutical Immunology I & II, Drug Seminar, and Practical Course in Medicinal Chemistry at ETH Zurich.
Labs/Teams: Directs a research group investigating lymphatic vessel function and therapeutic applications within the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
