Dr. Constantin Yiannoutsos is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the CUNY School of Public Health and Health Policy (CUNY SPH), affiliated with the CUNY Institute for Implementation Science in Population Health. His expertise spans biostatistics, clinical trials, and epidemiology, with a focus on HIV/AIDS research and health policy. Prior to CUNY, he held leadership roles at Harvard University and Indiana University, including directing the IU Cancer Center Biostatistics Facility and Graduate Education programs.

Research Interests: Dr. Yiannoutsos specializes in statistical methodologies for survival analysis, causal inference, and addressing missing data in observational studies. He leads the IeDEA Collaboration, a global network tracking HIV/AIDS outcomes in Africa and the U.S., informing health policy decisions. His work during the COVID-19 pandemic supported Indiana’s public health response.
Teaching & Mentorship: He has mentored hundreds of students globally, developed statistics curricula, and emphasized evidence-based training in public health. His contributions bridge academic research with real-world policy impact.
Labs/Teams: Principal investigator of the IeDEA Collaboration, a longitudinal HIV/AIDS cohort study following 500,000+ individuals in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
