Dr. Conor Judge is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Clinical Data Analytics at the University of Galway, based within the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. He is also a Consultant Nephrologist, Electronic and Computer Engineer, and holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
His research is centered on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into clinical practice, with a particular emphasis on improving outcomes for patients with chronic conditions like hypertension. He leads the development of an AI Clinical Decision Support System (AI-CDSS) designed to predict and guide treatment decisions using data from randomized controlled trials. This work reflects his deep commitment to translational research and innovation in digital health.
Dr. Judge's interdisciplinary expertise spans clinical medicine, biostatistics, machine learning, and medical device development. He has contributed to three inventions and filed a patent application. He also serves as a clinical mentor for the Bioinnovate programme in Galway, where he collaborates with industry partners for needs validation and innovation.
